![]() his trigger break on the rifle was ultra light, had to be under 2 pounds i know it which is a little on the unsafe side, but it felt nice and crisp when it fired, two stage trigger. He had a leupy mark 4 on it and i could definitely notice the clarity difference from my falcon side by side at 100 yards. vertical grip on it was nice and familiar and definitely made a difference with my steadying due to me bending my wrist in an awkward fashion with the stock on my 700. the features on the pst25 are not bad, the adjustments tend to not click very well on the stock but that was a non issue as once you get a set shouldn't have to adjust it too often. the PST25 stock feels ultra light compared to my stock on my sps, so its nice that i got to handle one of them. needless to say its a darn nice gun in its own rights. Well i got a chance to shoot a pro series 2000 heavy barrel rifle by HS Precision at the range today. the extra inch of decel pad that these stocks come with are what i need as well as the adjustable butt stock end would be nice to have to suit my personal style. i was considering an HS precision 700p takeoff, but i just love the look of the mcmillan a4 and a5, a5 preferably with the rounded forend.Īny opinions on what i should do for this noobie? hold off and just get a takeoff 700p, or go for a manners or HS to help out with my practice? the factory stock on my SPS is not to my liking at all, and if anything its uncomfortable for me to shoot. without bedding should be accurate enough for me since i'm still starting off with the rifle and can't even shoot to factory moa specs consistently. manners isn't pillar bedded but ready for it, but those kind of upgrades i wouldn't be able to do either. The pst25 from HS and the manners mcs t4 and t1 are my options right now, both i'm sure are nice in their own respects. its around 40 percent more when configured for what i want, and i just can't afford that right now but i definitely would probably go with a mcm if i had the funds for it. the mcmillan wait time is quite long but thats not whats holding me off. of course i dont' think this includes bottom metal but i'm sure it can be inletted for something that i already have on hand. Well the basic msc t4 without the adjustable cheek or extra swivel studs goes around the 400's i believe, which is a price range that i'm aiming for.
